i208.net is the central hub for me, Rob Khonsu, regarding all my activity around the interwebz. This includes more trivial things from My Flickr, Twitter, and Raptr account, to the my more interesting activity as a video producer for eSports events.
I started out broadcasting eSports (high level competitive video gaming) in 2005 for the Competitive Online RPG, Guild Wars. I covered every major tournament from the second world tournament to the Winterfest finals. Working with Radio iTG and the GGL I casted Unreal Tournament 2004 and Command and Conquer 3. With 50 Calibur I covered their Unreal Tournament 3 tournament in HD. I was the VoD producer for the GGL at QuakeCon 2007 and the preseason rounds of competition for the Championship Gaming Series Region 1 Season 1. I have also gone on to produce HD VoDs for Live On 3 with their coverage of Devastation 2009 as well as was the VoD producer for them and QuadV at QuakeCon 2009 and BlizzCon 2009. Most recently I have been the executive producer at the weekly Cleveland Street Fighter Ranbats, Westside Market Shankdown, and Beatdown II presented by Countdown321.net.
My focus has always been on delivering outstanding video coverage to the eSports community at the very highest quality available. I am able to travel anywhere in the world and cover any event at a more superior quality and far less cost than anybody else. I’m not cocky about too many things, but if anybody can put those words to the test, I’d surely like to meet them. While I prefer to remain independent, I need work with the very best in the industry; It’s simply too much work for one man. If you have an event that you’d like to have covered, need help covering an event, or feel you have what it takes to join my team, please contact me at khonsu@i208.net. I’d be more than happy to work with you to find the very best solution for you and for eSports.
Aside from covering live and online events, I have also produced and hosted a variety of weekly talkshows including Critical Hit, The Fatbaby Show, Rant.FM. These are more side projects and a test bed for new technologies. I have been extremly busy with the explosion of the Street Fighter scene in Cleveland and these shows have been on hiatus because of that. Who knows what this winter will bring however…
